Photo of Francis Chapelet of FranceOne of the preeminent organ masters of France, Francis Chapelet of Montpon Ménestérol has developed a world-wide reputation for his knowledge of historical organs in France and Spain and for his interpretations of early organ music. This will be his first performance in New York.

Works by DuMage, Bach (Prelude & Fugue in E Minor “Wedge” and Prelude and Fugue in E-flat “St. Anne"), Buxtehude, and Cabanilles. “Francis Chapelet is one of the great European interpreters of early organ music. This is an old-world master whose playing has the color and patina of another era. One does not often hear playing like this in the United States.” - Dennis Keene
