Donating long-term appreciated securities, including stocks, bonds and mutual funds, can be a tax-wise way to support Voices. In addition to avoiding the capital gains tax you would incur if you sold the assets, your donation is eligible for a full fair-market-value charitable contribution income tax deduction. Please discuss charitable contributions with your financial advisor. To make a gift of securities or mutual funds please contact staff@voicesofascension.org or (212) 358-1469 with the following information:

• name of the stock

• number of shares

• designation of the gift

• broker’s name and phone number

If held with a bank or broker:

Please instruct your bank or broker to add your name and how you would like to designate your gift to the transfer notes. Instruct your bank or broker to transfer your shares electronically by DTC wire. They may need Voices’ tax identification number: 13-3668472.

These accounts are for donations only. If you are sending a wire transfer or an ACH deposit for another purpose, please contact us prior to initiating the transfer to obtain the correct banking information.

Any information regarding how you would like to designate your gift MUST be included in the wire transfer instructions in order to allocate it correctly.

You may make contributions into your donor-advised fund (DAF) account and subsequently recommend distributions to Voices of Ascension, Inc. from the fund. Please contact your sponsoring organization to advise on a donation and be sure to read through their guidelines.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees.

If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

To make a gift, donors should contact their IRA custodian and obtain directions about how to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly to Voices of Ascension. The custodian will require a mailing address and tax identification number for Voices:
